Heyoooo,
Here comes my little bit of one-sided small talk.
I'm good. Still bumped about my shin splints and the pause from running. But I’m putting more different sports into my daily routine to overcompensate. The bike has become my go-to. I’m trying mountain biking. Which is less traumatic. So I’ll be good.
Work’s also good. I’ve been diving into loads of data, insights and ads about/for Gen Z and presented the findings last week to ∼140 marketing professionals. This kind of work I really enjoy.
The weather’s mostly good.
How are you?

We actually had a similar idea (the expectations vs reality concept) for a pitch for Riga. Here’s the latest tourism campaign from our neighbor - Vilnius. I love the first bit very much. But the second part should have been more authentic, epic and less “touristy”. Overall - good job.
Not a bad idea, but the video is waaaay too long and repetitive. Also, the song for me will always be “Weeds” theme song. Little Boxes.
Not that fresh, but it flew under my radar. Ö de PNV - Mobility is a human ride. Or Tommy Cash being Tommy Cash.
Lovely stunt! A Duolingo rave where you can enter only if you have a streak.
An amazing response to the victory of a brand ambassador! Caitlin Clark just broke a wild record, and Nike responded with a wilder billboard.
A cool little video from Hennesy.

Do you feel like every celebrity now has an alcohol brand? Well, you’re not wrong - there’s a new a-lister trend.
Some lucky ones in a narrow strip of land had a chance to experience a solar eclipse last night. That’s cool and all. But what’s even cooler - it’s a goldmine! Here’s an article on the eclipse economy. A quote to lure you in “Equivalent to having 50 Super Bowls”.
LOL. Everyone in Japan will be called Sato by 2531 unless marriage law changes. Here’s the reason why.
Meanwhile, in China, youngsters are rebelling against workplace culture. They are picking “gross outfits” over office glam. Say what you will, but rebellion is one of the best things about being young. You go, ugly-dressed Chinese Gen Z!
An article that explores relationships between timesheets and creatives. This is something I’ve been struggling loads in my career as well.

Spotify’s latest AI feature builds playlists based on text descriptions. And lovely example given from Spotify ‘Make me feel like a vampire hunter from Blade’. I sure hope Spotify can deliver that kind of prompt.
